About Karen Bonanno

Hi, I'm Karen Bonanno.

In 1979 I started my teaching career. I have worked in government and private schools as a secondary teacher, teacher librarian, head of department and acting deputy principal. In 1992 I was appointed to the position of regional education adviser - library and resource services and later transferred to the central education office as an education officer.

When some changes in the central office structure happened during 1993 I found myself in a situation of needing to find a job. Instead of waiting for something to happen I established my own business in 1994. Since that time there have been many changes and subsequently my business structure has evolved to accommodate the changing work environments.

I still have a strong passion for the school library and information services sector and continue to enjoy some wonderful and productive opportunities working with educational groups, organisations and professional associations.

A focus for the new few months will be on using Web 2.0 applications for library & information services in school libraries. To help with the planning of the content for this web site it would be great if you could take a few moments to complete a short survey so I have an idea for the focus for reports, articles, webinars and other events to be hosted by schoollibrarymanagement.com

Kind regards
Karen
